Futuristic 85m Remora Superyacht Concept By Claydon Reeves

At the 2010 Monaco Yacht Show, Claydon Reeves officially launched their new design company and presented the Remora, a magnificent 80-meter concept motoryacht. The new UK-based design consultancy specializes in creating bespoke exterior designs for superyachts up to and over 100 meters.

The firm’s directors James Claydon and Mike Reeves have worked for some of the world’s top superyacht consultancies, including Redman Whiteley Dixon, Andrew Winch and Donald Starkey. Claydon Reeves have taken inspiration from both naturally occurring forms and contemporary architecture for the external aesthetics. The yacht has a Gaudiesque Sundeck structure and an unconventional spatial layout.

The interior includes a double height main deck mezzanine, forward public areas and duplex guest suites. The proud owner will have his own private deck aft of the bridge. The luxury yacht exemplifies the Claydon Reeves exterior style from its narrow plumb bow, tight surfaces and concave glass to its tapering stern.
